When I was 18, I was told I was fat. That one comment started something I wouldn't be free of for years. I stopped eating enough. I started running too much. I convinced myself that the number on the scale was connected to my worth as a person, and I believed every diet myth and quick fix that promised to get me there faster.
What I thought was discipline developed into an eating disorder that quietly ruled my life. I was always chasing the number I thought would finally make me feel like I made it. The number that would make me a better person. I never found it, because it was never real to begin with.
The work of unlearning all of that: the restriction, the over-exercising, the shame. It was the hardest work I've ever done. And it's also the reason I chose to become a nutrition and fitness coach. Because I know what it feels like to be in a body you don't trust. And I know what it feels like to finally stop fighting it.
I became a certified nutrition and fitness coach because I want to be the person I needed back then. Not someone who hands you a plan and tells you to follow it. Someone who actually sits with you, listens to you, and helps you build something sustainable for the rest of your life. something built around the body you're actually in right now, not the one you had at 25.
